In the 1970’s, Petter Aamot from Molde (Norway), founded the company Movex SSO AB and started working with the chain saw producer AB Partner developing the Movex ERP system. Version 1 of Movex was based on a punched card system which is still available to view in one of our Norwegian offices as a testament, both to its longevity and as a show of nostalgia.
In 1972 a 17 year old Kjell Danielsen was hired as the third employee of the company. Today, Kjell is still with our company and has over 35 years Movex / M3 experience !
In 1983 Petter Aamot sold Movex SSO AB to Björn Algkvist who went on to form Intentia. The former staff of Movex SSO AB continued to work as independent consultants for a number of years before finally being integrated into the Intentia organisation in 1992.
Over the course of a number of years, Intentia experienced high growth and our consultants were closely involved in developing the revolutionary Movex version 7. The office chair producer HÅG was the first customer in Norway to implement version 7, they were also the first customer that implemented Movex Java.
